  • I booked an appointment, what now?

    First off, thank you!

Once your appointment is booked and you’ve provided solid details and reference photos you can expect to hear from me within a week of your appointment. I always have a high volume of custom requests I’m working on, so I like to keep designs fresh in my head for upcoming sessions by working on them the few days before they’re to be completed. As such, please don’t worry if you haven’t heard from me. I’ve either got everything I need for your design from your submission form (BRAVO!) or I will reach out right before you come in.

I do my best to talk to everyone early, but it’s not always possible. If you think of something additional you’d like to share, changes to your form, additional reference photos, etc. - please feel free to reach out to me by email anytime.

  • What might disqualify me for a tattoo?

I reserve the right to deny services based on contraindications to medical/skin conditions or medication consumption. These situations are not common, but this policy is in place to protect you and your health. If you have questions or concerns please email moonfallink@gmail.com to discuss further.

  • Do you accept walk-ins?

Not at this time. I have two young children and I aim to be very intentional with my time and attention - both with them and with my clients. Being an appointment only studio supports this.

  • Matching Tattoos?

Want to come in with a friend, family member, or partner and get matching tattoos? I’m so excited to have you in! Please let me know in your Tattoo Request Form that you and a tattoo-partner-in-crime want to come in together.

  • What is the custom design process?

I love to hear your ideas! If you have reached out via email or social media, I will do my best to talk through your ideas. However, I do not begin work on a piece until an appointment has been set and deposit paid. You will be shown your art at the beginning of your appointment time.

To make sure that you are excited about the outcome of your design, be sure to provide as much detail as possible when booking your appointment. Also, make sure to look through my portfolio to make sure that the style of work I do aligns with what you’re looking for. This will reduce churn and ensure a great outcome for your appointment.

This process ensures that I am not spending ample time creating art for someone who doesn’t end up booking an appointment or takes my art to another tattoo artist to complete.

  • Will I see my custom art design prior to my appointment

Custom tattoo designs will be shared at the time of your appointment. To ensure that your design is what you are looking for, please be sure to include as much detail as possible in your tattoo request form submitted at the time of booking your appointment.

I aim to make my clients as comfortable with this process as possible. If not seeing your design until the time of the appointment is a big sticking point for you, please be sure to reach out to me and I’ll work with you to find a solution that suites both of us.

  • Rescheduling & Cancelation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 72 hours prior to your appointment start time.

If you cancel or reschedule within the 72 hour window, you will be charged 50% of your appointment cost.

Please note, 72 hours is needed so your appointment time may be filled by another client. Additionally, I really do understand that life is unpredictable and I am empathetic to this. I will do my best to work with you under extenuating circumstances.

    No-Call, No, Show

If you NCNS, you will be charged 50% of your appointment cost and it will be up to your artist’s discretion whether future booking will be allowed. Again, I understand that life happens, but please remember: if you NCNS you are impacting my business by occupying an appointment that could have been booked by someone else.

  • What if I need a touch-up?

A touchup is NOT always required, but may be needed.

Fine line tattoos are intended to be as thin as possible, which can make the ink more susceptible to disruption during the healing process. Design, placement, skin type, and aftercare will also play a role in the healed results of a Fine Line Tattoo.

Fine Line Tattoos are suitable for any place on the body; however, tattoos on the hands and fingers generally require several touchups to achieve the desired retention. This is due to the amount of exposure, namely to moisture, that these areas undergo. Please keep this in mind when booking hand and finger tattoos. Only one finger tattoo touch-up will be provided free of cost. Additional touch-up sessions for these tattoos will be subject to a fee.

To request a touchup, please email a healed photo of your tattoo to your moonfallink@gmail.com.

  • Are there designs you won't do?

I always aim to be openminded with the art you want me to put on your body. Some situations where I may suggest something different or turn a piece down are usually just because it doesn’t align with my style or skillset.

Additionally, I will be avoiding large bodies of text as there is far more room for spelling errors as the stencil becomes smudged through a service.

At the end of the day, you being happy with your design is my top priority. If I feel that I can’t make this happen, I will let you know and do my best to point you in the direction of someone who can.

    THE BIG “BUT”

It is my belief that tattoos are very personal to the owner and it’s not my place to judge you for your choices. However, I will not accept any offensive, derogatory, defamatory, or bigoted design requests. Moonfall is a tattoo studio that is a safe and inviting space where all people are welcome.
